Does any one know of a good wireless mic for under $1000? This will be in a pool, so durability is a must.

Check out the Samson UM1. It's around $500 I think, UHF, I have 2 and have never had a problem. They also offer a model with switchable frequencies for a few hundred more. hope this helps. Todd
