What model is my bike? help please.greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread
I have taken the plunge and bought my first MV Agusta F4. I am unsure however of the model of this machine EVO1 / EVO2 ? and would appreciate some educated help please. I cannot establish from reading the discussion threads here as there seems to be some crossover in spec?
It was registered in the UK in July 2002 but the chassis number is: ZCGF401AA1V003585
Can anyone help? Anyway i'm extremely happy to have made the purchase. Regards

Thank you Maximo,
I'm still a little confused though (apologies!) I read that it could be made in the end of 2001 but still be a 2002 spec with the modifications?
Sorry to persist but is there anything I can look for to establish if indeed it is a 2001 production but 2002 spec (Evo2) or if it is both a 2001 production and 2001 (Evo1) spec? Your help is greatly appreciated. Regards

Neil, The tenth digit of the VIN designates the vehicles model year on every road going motor vehicle built starting in 1981, with the exception of Japanese home market motorcycles.
Your 2001 model has a 1 as it's tenth digit designating it as an '01 without question, plain and simple.
Here is a chart you can use for ANY vehicle.
1981 = B 1982 = C 1983 = D 1984 = E 1985 = F 1986 = G 1987 = H 1988 = J 1989 = K 1990 = L 1991 = M 1992 = N 1993 = P 1994 = R 1995 = S 1996 = T 1997 = V 1998 = W 1999 = X 2000 = Y 2001 = 1 2002 = 2 2003 = 3 2004 = 4
Enjoy the bike!

ZCG=Company F4=Modell 01=Variant (Mono?) AA=Modell Version 1=Year of manufacturing (2001) V=Manufacturing building 003585=Frame number
So your bike was built in year 2001.
