Please help me recall which story it was, and im not even sure it was poe's, in which he described a feeling of a weight upon his chest. I know its not much to go on but im the middle man in this search. Any clues would be appreciated. Thanks

Though quite imprecise, I think that the short story you are alluding to is the (1914?) "DRACULA'S GUEST", issued after Bram Stoker's death, but actually from his pen, as an unpublished MS fragment from the original much longer text of his well-known novel. Often reprinted, but I think you can find it on line too (try google...). Note that the "Night Mare" is commonly described as a devil-creature who is oppressing at night as heavily sitting upon sleeping people's chest. Good luck. Yours sincerely, Raven's Shade (Belgium).
