Zeiss vs. Leupold

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MILDOT : One Thread

Would appreciate some opinions on which scope to put on a Savage 12FV .223 which will be used for Prarie Dogs. Cost not being a factor my choices are either Leupold 6.5-20x50 M1 or Zeiss Conquest in the same power. What do you think?

I have the Leupold long range scope and i think it's a great scope it never did me wrong . All Zeiss scopes have the best clarity in low light situations but I would not pay 600 dollars more for the same quality. Give'em hell !!! Chris

I would have to go with the Leupold no doubt because that when you purchase a leupold it comes with flip caps lens pen and alen renches and i have had alot of experience with them and not one has ever failed me, my brother has a zeiss and hes had some problems with it and it cost more for his than it did for mine. they are both prolly the same but leupold comes with more goodies and costs a little less than a zeiss.

goodluck
