Hey guys, I was wondering, what is better.. The anime version of Evangelion or the manga version of Neon Genesis Evangelion? Should I read/watch both? And if so, in what order? I would guess the manga first but im not sure.

Watching both the anime and reading the manga is as time-wasting as reading the naruto manga and watch the anime. Like most other series which has an anime and a manga, there's slight variations but the story remains very similar.

Ummm, no, it doesn't rock, I don't like it at all. I usually like checking out whichever version came first. In this case the anime came before the manga and you can get it using bittorrent from http://www.a2000a.com/bt/index.php. In the unlikely event that you like it, you can then check out the 7 vols of the manga that are out so far.

The anime, just like with bebop it is an anime in which sound is very vital. It adds to the feel so really I think a manga just wouldn't flow well(people who like staight forward action, have no sort of religious education, are religious or have no idea what solitude is like will not understand evangelion and be confused by it. The truth in it all is you come to a place where you can only decide what is in store for you, it trains the isolated to the truth of the fact you cannot control reality even if you have power.

I don't understand the ending of Evangelion. So everyone in the world dies beccause they can't hold their AT field? Shinji and Asuka are the only ones alive. So can everyone else come back? Like Rei said one can live if they have the will to. And why does Asuka say disgusting at the end..... I really don't understand.
