Looking for free advice about drive-thrus.

We've been in the coffee shop business for a number of years. We've recently moved to Missouri and we've decided to open a drive-thru espresso with equipment we kept from our last place. We don't think we can afford a building that is already set up for drive-thru...so we're trying to put together our own. We have been looking for plans for an 8 x 10 building to use for this purpose. Does anyone have any ideas? We would also love to find some advice on set up of plumbing: water tanks, gray water...and such. At the same time, we are trying to decide if we should build on a trailer for easy relocation. Any advise from an experienced drive-thru owner would be much appreciated.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of information out there concerning the water set-up for these drive thrus. We're having the same problem. Maybe that's the business we should go into...:) If you learn anything will you please share? I'll do the same.

Maybe the questions that you are asking are a little too vague. If it ia going to be self contained then the set up for a cart is what your looking for. If it is to be hard plumbed(into the ground) that is a whole different ball game. I have a diagram of a self contained unit if you want. I live in Seattle and have two (small) drive thru buildings one of which I am trying to sell. The business is very cut throat and finding alliances are hard. Email me if you would like the diagram.

I have a 10 x 20 building setting on a friends lot. I bought it to start a coffee drive-through, but built new instead. The building is in St. Louis MO, was built to be a coffee drive-through complete with 3 compartment sink, bathroom, and storage. I will make you on HELL OF A DEAL. contact me and I will send pics.

Hello -- I am a coffee Roaster and if you havn't chosen your coffee roaster yet you might take a look at our web-site and give me a call for samples. We have seen a very cool setup made by Nunn Harbor it is complete and can be pulled behind your car if you chose to do so. It looks like a big coffee cup. I am not affilieated with them but you can see them @ www.nunnharbor.com
