Anybody know where I can order some leather to make oar leathers? I am avoiding the kits from Tendercraft and Wooden Boat Store because I want to make my leathers longer that standard.

No one sells leather here in Savannah, that I can locate.

How thick should oar leather be?

Also, what kind of thread should I use?
