Sure Did Miss Ya'll !!!

It's been so long that I have had a "working" computer that I have about forgotten how to type beyond the hunt and peck two finger version, and I had to go look up the password. I was hoping BTS would still be here!

We have about 6 inches of wet, sloppy snow here and it really looks festive drooping the pine trees down heavily with all that white stuff. Got snow where you are?

I had a very bad spring and early summer, my muscles and joints hurt so bad all the time, ached and creaked like an "old timer" in the morning. Finally figured out after about a half dozen doctor's opinions that I have fibromyalgia, which is what I had figured out it must be by process of elimination. Suffered horribly with that for most of nine months until I tried turmeric root for it, and it worked marvelously, the pain was gone in three days, just the "normal" aches and pains of middle age remain, I can live with that.

Anyway, anybody with any type of arthritis or inflammation of any kind, or autoimmune type diseases should try it as well, I use ground organic turmeric root (a common kitchen spice used in Indian cooking like in curry), a teaspoon mixed in juice twice a day. Let me know if it helps you or not, it can't hurt trying it.

Have I missed any new members coming or going, or other major news?

Hi Annie!! Long time no see! Yeah, we're still here; at least a small core group of us. Down quite a bit from the 40 or so folks at the beginning, but still kicking along. Sorry to hear that you're achey; but glad you've found something that helps.

Yup, got snow. Started Saturday afternoon and was mostly done by the time I got off work Sunday morning. The ground is covered, but it has mostly melted off the roadways. I was noticing how the different trees held snow as I drove in to our place yesterday; the difference between not only the conifers and decidious; but also between the oaks and hickories and maples and ashes; and between the various weeds and brush. Makes me wish I had some artistic talent - heck, I can't even take a good picture with a camera!

The banties are not enjoying the snow at all! Found them, and the guineas all huddled in the straw bale dog house yesterday afternoon - it's oat straw, with some oats still attached, so they were having lunch while getting out of the snow. Thinking of just building a big straw bale chicken house next year!

Glad to see you back - come back and post some more!!

Hi Annie!! Welcome back! I'm not here as much as I should be, but I'm trying :-)!!

Glad your aches and pains have cleared up. There's alot to be said for natural remedies. I have a friend who just recently told me how to harvest the valerian root I have growing here and how to soak it in vodka for a sleep aid. Sure works better than any pill...and none additive :-)!!
