A man I know, Arnold (Arnie) Vezzani is getting a Hall of Fame award this weekend from SFSU for playing baseball. He had the highest batting average ever - .566 - and I wanted to find an article or photo to copy if this was covered in the Chronicle. I believe it was 1942 and he was a center fielder. Sorry I have no other information. Thanks for any help.
