Blimey,.....Bro. Hairoll, I needest to maketh a minor editorial correction in your deployment of olde Englash. Thou shouldest not be envooking the werd "thee" beforest art when "thou" iz the moar preeverbed werd. When we singeth the grate himm of our church we proclameth, "How Grate Thou Art" not How Grate Thee Art. I'm sureth Monsignor Matthews, being the conzumit theenker in all matters pertanieth to art and muzic and one who luveth God, man and church, shareth my thoughts on this matter :-) Oh, and a Happy Birthday to Robert from the Dickens Family. Happy Birthday Bro. Matthews. I pray that this day will be happy and full of God's graces for you. A tradition on my church is that a person gives a $1.00 for each day the Lord has blessed them as a gift to the church. These funds go into either the building fund or the scholarship fund. Just a thought.

Have a blessed day.

A very Blessed and Happy Birthday my friend! Celebrate another year of God's Grace, Love and Mercy!

Let me once again take the time to thank each of you. Because of you and others like you my 59th birthday was a wonderful event. As an extra special treat, on Sunday, I was taken to dinner by one of the many wonderful friends whom God has given me. This was concluded by attending the Messiah at Saint Mark A. M. E. Church, sung by none other than our beloved Morris Brown College Choir.

I was also able to celebrate with two of my friends who share a mutual birthday with me. One of them I taught at Saint Jude the Apostle School 28 years ago when he was only 5. Now he is married with a family and is now 32. He reminded me of how important it has been to him over the years that we have remained friends for 28 years -- watching him grow from early childhood to and adult family man.

I mentioned above that I am now 59 years old. At my age many American would not dare to mention it. However considering the alternative to having more birthdays to celebrate, I say Praise God and when I am 90 I will still be proud of it.

As I have shared before almost five years ago, I was completely on life support. My family was told on Sunday morning that they should consider disconnecting me from it. Whether or not they did was totally up to them. But, whether or not they did I had only about three days to live. My family said no, let him die on the life support, meanwhile we know another doctor to call. At that point, my family called the church. The pastor and members of my church suspended worship and called the other doctor in. This Doctor is described in Psalm 103, as forgiving all iniquities, healing all diseases and delivering from the pit (e.g., the place of the dead or grave). So, I remain a living witness to truth of it.

So on this day I can truly celebrate and I thank God for another birthday and for my many wonderful friends such as you. Before ending my thanks and gratitude to you, let me remind all that 17 days hence, on December 25, along with Our Lord, Reverend Alton Paris will celebrate a birthday as well. So as we celebrate the Birthday of the Lord, let us not forget to wish Reverend Paris a Happy Birthday too.

God Love, Keep And Bless You All!
