Looking for a spotter scope for precision 22 cal 40' to 100yards

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MILDOT : One Thread

I am looking for a spotter scope that I can see a .22 cal hole at any where from 50 feet to 100 yards. I will use this scope to help boy scouts qualify with at 50' and then for fun up to 100 yards. I do not want blury optics when I zoom in at the target.

I just purchased an Astele Lomo 60ZM. I will be taking it out next weekend to do some shooting with. I have been picking out airplanes a few miles away and also traffic on the street next to me. The optics seem very good and the price is around $130 from opticsplanet. I had done a bunch of research and found this one to be highly recommended.

I've been pretty satisfied with my Winchester WT631 scope, 15-45X60. It's reasonably priced (depending where you buy it, around $150), reasonably clear and bright (at this price, don't expect a Leupold or Zeiss), has sufficient power to spot most holes at 100 yards, and comes with a nice bench-top tripod, & soft and hard carrying cases. It's rubber armored, too.
