This quote: 7. "You can't believe in what you don't understand."

Those words are a fine example, which showed evidence, of the false prophet that David Koresh was. Koresh did not believe in God as his words showed. We may not understand God or His Will, but we believe in Him regardless of our understandings. So, Koresh was really saying that God does not exist because He is something that cannot be understood, nor believed for that reason.

This quote: 2. "It's not fair to demand more of a man than he can give."

I feel confindent, after reading some history, that Hilter truly believed what he meant in the above quote. And, he demonstrated that unfairness in the Holocaust that he was responsible for.

Rod said, "So, Koresh was really saying that God does not exist because He is something that cannot be understood, nor believed for that reason."

Same Logic:

Due to the fact that the Eternal Most Holy Catholic Church is Full of True Divine Mysteries, Anti-catholics who cannot comprehend her simply say that she is not true.

I see that James has discovered my methods in my madness. Koresh was extremely dangerous because of his power to persuade/deceive those who were confused, lost, or vulnerable. Koresh had the freedom to interpret the Scriptures as he saw best for the motives under his breath. How many "Koreshes"[destroyers] are out there preparing to devour the young and the confused? Question all men and all doctrine.

BTW, I read that the Branch Davidians were not Seventh Day Adventists.

I don't know how many times I've said, "Don't condemn what you don't understand. You need to embrace it and try to understand it." But, we may also find that somethings are incomprehensible; that is why we have faith.

Rod, did you double check? I think 6, the Do unto others was Jesus. Confucius had as a negative. What you don't want....So did the rabbis of Jesus days.

-- Elpidio Gonzalez (egonval@yahoo.com), November 15, 2003.

Yes, I too had to rub my eyes on #6. According to John Hogue's answers, it is Buddha. But, I do recall reading the similar passage in Scriptures. Perhaps the wording is slightly different. I'll dig for that verse.

Ok, maybe John Hogue should have a look at our forum and this web site, or better yet, Matthew 7:12. http://www.relig ioustolerance.org/reciproc.htm

Mathew 7:12

"So always treat others as you would like them to treat you; that is the meaning of the Law and the Prophets."

Yikes, for all you who don't read the Jerusalem Bible, that's the Bible I used for the above verse.

Thanks for the link, Rod.

That is why I try not to be pushy on people. It is counterproductive.
