Manuscript found in a Bottle - 1st UK publication

I have found in a copy of "The Englishwoman's Domestic Magazine" for 1855 two short stories by Poe. The first is "A Manuscript Found in a Bottle", and the second "Ligeia". The magazine claims that this is the first UK appearance of "Manuscript". Could someone confirm that this is the case? And is "Ligeia" also a first appearance over here?

Perfectly right. "MS found in a Bottle" and "Ligeia" were not published in book-form before the (London) Hotten (later Chatto & Windus) 1872 edition, if we except the 1857 4-vols (London) Sampson Low reprint (or more probably re-sale, with British new title pages!) of the original US 4-vols 1850-56 NY Redfield posthumous classical one of the "Works of the late E. A. Poe", as collected by R. W. Griswold. And those tales did not appear in British Magazines till the date you evoke, so far as I know, at least... Yours sincerely, Raven's Shade (Belgium).
