One of the biggest downside of bt is it is very RAM consuming. I've heard there are bt clients that let you d/l multiple files on one torrent(I'm not talking about a batch, but individual files) but I have yet to confirm this. On kazaa you can have 10 files downloading without your computer running out of RAM, but bt is more reliable because it can fix corrupted files and the chances of you getting a fake file is nil compared to kazaa.

BT - the best (other than mIRC) for latest releases Kazaa - good for some old series, but then there are also some good BT sites which release old series. speed wise, BT is good (if it's working for you). quality wise, BT is better too (Kazaa always give me some crappy corrupted files). in conclusion, if you have a good internet connection and manage to get BT to work for you (without problems of firewall/proxy etc), then BT is the best.

Kazaa is great for multiple downloads when there are many sources for a particular file, and when there are many sources then u can probably get a speed of over 75kb/s.

And, also the auto search for Kazaa is a really fast way to find files ur looking for. But for BT u don't really have that, so u gotta find sites which host these files, which...take a long time.

BT, though has a wider variety of files than Kazaa in my opinion. Even though u find a file ur looking 4 in Kazaa, many times if the sources are really low, u get a speed like 0.89kb/s which isn't worth the time to download.

Kazaa has alot of softwares like Microsoft publisher 2002 which I needed some time ago, & I downloaded the 2003 version off Suprnova, but whether its my misunderstanding or not, there was no cd key...which was kind of a waste of my time downloading it. But Kazaa had a little older version but...the download was fast and had a cd key so it was functionable. I don't prefer to download softwares from BT, but I would rather download softwares from Kazaa if I need it badly. If I had time...I would download it from sharereactor which is actually...the best place to get softwares. Just the speed is kind of slow in the beginning...i mean 4 edonkey.

The biggest advantage of Kazaa? 56k users can still hope to get huge files on it. It took me a week, but I managed to get the 716mb Inuyasha Movie 2. I've probably downloaded somewhere around 3 gigs on Kazaa just using dial-up.

Biggest disadvantage of Kazaa? It can take A LONG time on dial-up to find someone nice enough to leech from. Plus, the whole RIAA thing does keep me nervous from downloading too much, but from the number of users that still use Kazaa now, I doubt it's scaring off other people.

BitTorrent's biggest advantage is that it prevents anyone from leeching away and giving nothing back.

did anyone See the 60 mins special on Pirates of the Internet? I cant belive they didnt put BitTorrent on it. because bt is one of the fastest growing p2p software around in the us alone theres like 1000 new users a day.(got my info from a survey) and also i like it cuz it lets u use shadow ip's so no one can track u if u route it. but my fav thing is that it is opensource meaning that it is constantly being upgraded and with that alone i see it overtaking FastTrack soon enough(FastTrack is what Kazaa uses.)

if u want to see the special go to supernova.org or go to this link for a direct download go here (just post into your browser and hit go) http://suprnova.lagalot.com/torrents/509/60MINS%20Pirates%20of%20the% 20Internet-avi.torrent

Thank u for listening to my rant
