parts for 1938 Magic Chef

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Art Deco Society of Washington : One Thread

Hi there, i have what I believe to be a 1938 Magic Chef stove. Not positive about the year though. It is very beautiful, rests on a tubular chromed steel frame. Problem is that it has a central griddle, but no heating element under the griddle. I am also looking for the back splashgaurd and utility shelf that would have come w/ this. I've tried antiqueappliances.com and others, i just wonder if anyone out there has parts they might want to sell me? thanks!

1934 Magic Chef Vintage “Deco” Gas Stove

46” wide, 27” deep, 60” high

This antique stove features: 4surface burners, a center work and prep area, a bi-fold cover for the cooking surface, a large capacity baking oven, with separate broiler drawer, twin storage drawers, exposed chrome frame with "deco” work lamp and shelf; and the original salt and pepper shakers.

Hope this helps your find that part. You can always try antique applicances . com. TACO Good Luck. I saw this stove for sale in the neighborhood and loved it! But it was a bit more costly than we wanted to spend. So by the time we decided to spend the money, it was gone :(. The one I just happen to see is for sale for 5,800.00.
