Whilst researching Maslow, in his 1943 lecture, he gave one of his referencing sources as a book called the Principles of Abnormal Psychology by B. Mittlemann, published in 1941. I have been unable to track down any details on this person or any of the books contents. Can you help please ?

The book appears to have been co-authored by Maslow & Bela Mittlemann.

Here is some information from http://www.booksxtoz.com/cpsygtom.html:

"[10796] Maslow, Abraham and Bela Mittlemann. PRINCIPLES OF ABNORMAL PSYCHOLOGY. NY: Harper, 1941. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Good+ Some soiling and rubbing to spine fabric. Owner name. An effort at integrating theoretical approaches to psychologically disturbed individuals. x+638pp $24.50"

I am unable to find any information on this individual quickly, but I note that there is a position at Brown University called the "Mittlemann Family Director Center for the Study of Human Development." I do not know wehther it is named after Bela Mittelman, but it is probably worth checking out.
