Non destructive test for PROJECTION-weldings

I would like to know if there's already an effective Non destructive test to examine PROJECTION-weldings?

There are various resistance welding process monitors on the market which can help avoid making bad projection welded parts, but there is nothing foolproof that I know of. With projection welding, as long as you have all your weld variables figured out and properly controlled, you should get good results. With properly made projections, you get the equavalent of a "new set of spot welding tips" for each weld. Projection welding is really the way to go for consistent weld strength. If you're having problems, I would bet that there's something wrong with the tooling that's forming the projections. There are charts available to determine the proper projection size.

Depending upon the type of projection you are using we can use different concepts: Like for example for nut welding, you can displacement based quality monitoring system. For capacitor discharge welding application for shock absorber, you can measure the energy measurement for quality assessment. You can visit the following site. http://www.weldcomputer.com/examples.htm

In Indian Welding Research Institute,Tiruchirappalli(India), we can develop special NDT solutions based on your projection welding application or suggest suitable system from any standard monitoring system available in any where in the world after feasibility studies. Please contact me with details of projection geometry & configuration of the job.
