The plot of "The Raven"!?! You must read it! It starts out in a study with a man reading. He is reading to essentially forget his lost love, Lenore. Here the narrator is in grieving. Then he hears sounds, more accurately - someone (or something) knocking at the door. Fear settles in, and continues to settle in when the door opens to no one. Enter: The raven who flies to the bust of Pallas above the door. The narrator, starts asking the bird how his lost Lenore is, calling the bird a prophet. And the only answer he can receive is NEVERMORE. Thus driving the narrator crazy - And finally, he lies on the floor dying ... with that classic line of, "And my soul, from out that shadow, lies floating on the floor - To be lifted NEVERMORE." The poem displays a large array of emotions - you should read it .. it is an excellent poem!
