Morris Brown College is Back - Keep Your Eye On Us!

Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive in Atlanta was once again lined with the Purple and Black. Loyal Brownites came from across the land to celebrate Morris Brown College's Homecoming Day. Not a beat or a step was missed as the Annual Parade got under way at the usual hour of 10:00 a.m., the conclusion of a week-long celebration of Homecoming Events.

The Parade featured twelve of the area's largest High School Bands. Miss Morris Brown, her Court and the Marching Wolverines brought up the rear. Also included were local politicians, churches, YPD units, drill teams and steps bands--each stopping under the bridge, as is tradition, to show what they could do. The Stadium then hosted a battle of band, followed by an evening event of an "Old Timer's Dance."

Everyone was happy and spirits were high. Faculty, students, alumni and well-wishers pledged anew that no matter what must be done and no matter how long it takes, we will SAVE DEAR OLE MORRIS BROWN.

Keep your eye on us. We are reorganizing, reshaping and retooling for a better school. We are upward bound. The best is yet to come.

"Deo Ac Vertati" - "To God and Truth." Morris Brown College is back and here to stay!
