(i) I have given some money in the form of cash to my brother. I am not sure /expecting that he would return this money or not. Am I laible to pay zakat on this money. If in future he returns the money to me what would bw the implications i.e how would I pay the zakat.

(ii) Is it necessary that cash in the bank has to have a life cycle of 1 year to pay zakat on it? what %zakat I have to pay on this money.
