Is it possible to get a second barrel for my .22 LR bolt action so I can also shoot the .17 hmr cartridges. Bolt action also. And where would I find info on how to do the change.

Answers

Short answer: NO. The .17HMR is based on the .22Mag case. .22LR action is neither long enough nor (in some cases) strong enough to accept the .17. If you want to interchange cartridges, check out the Thompson/Center Contender or Encore models. Interchanging barrels on a bolt action is a job for a gunsmith.
