So Inu Yasha finally got liscensed in the states. Great! Oh wait... you say there are only 3 episodes on a disk and each one costs between 18 and 24 dollars? That's ridiculous! When I first heard one of my favourite animes was coming to DVD I flipped! I wanted the whole series! But with over 130 episodes of Inu Yasha already having aired in Japan and more in the making, that's a collection of of about 45 disks at a total cost in the ball park of 900 dollars! Oh Viz video, why do you torture me so? And what the heck were you thinking?

I'm so grateful to everyone who does fansubs, because if it weren't for them, I couldn't have enjoyed as much Inu Yasha and other animes as I have. But since the series got liscensed in the states, many of the key fansubbers have abandoned it for legal reasons. So now I've seen up to episode 124 and can't wait to see the rest, but the DVDs have only been released up to ep 33 or so. It's gonna be a while...

which is why i don't buy anime videos/dvds, they are always over priced, even if inuaysha is one of my fav anime series, i would NEVER but a series on dvd that is that long anyway. Besides, I like the fan subbed version way better! ^_^

Only eps up to 60 of IY has been licensed. To me it didn't really matter if a certain series is licensed since the only difference is I'll go for dvdrips instead of fansubs.

I guess you could wait until all of the episodes come out on dvd in english and buy it in a bundle with 9 episodes per dvd like they did with kenshin trigun and so on. Its gonna probably take about 2 more years until that happens but I'll wait.

yeah, I'm definitely looking foreward to the DVD rips, but it'll be a while before they're up to an episode I haven't seen. Also, I was watching an episode of Inu Yasha on Adult Swim last night, and I had to change the channel. The voice actors were some the of the worst I'd ever heard. Kagome sounds like Velma from Scooby Doo. It was horrible. I'll stick to subbed...
