Hesychasm

Does Catholicism have a tradition of hesychasm like the Orthodox Church? If we do, what is it? If we don't, what, if anything, comes close?

There is a constant living tradition in the Catholic faith of mystical communion with Jesus Christ. One could name many saints over the centuries who were on fire with love for Our Saviour. Our own Little Flower, Saint Therese of Liseux is one great role model for Catholics. Many good Christians in the Orthodox community would appreciate her.
