i don't really get how irc works. is it a free program??? i have mac os x. does irc work on computer too??? someone help me!

yes it's free. I dunno if it works on mac. Just check out mirc.com or somthing. A better program would be invision which is the same as mirc just better.... to get invision try searching for it on yahoo... and to learn it.... uh try going to mircX.com or somthing...

I do believe Mirc is only for windows, you may want to do a search like irc client for mac and install them. There is one called macirc, another is shadowirc, but since i dont use mac i don't know which of the clients are better.

I only know linux irc clients, I don't know if Mac also has one of those.

well, it definitely is mac compatible, but i now recommend you to get a script since mirc.com only offers a trial version now.
