Can anyone help me with the names of several authors whose works were directly and clearly influenced by Poe? I am a high school student in need of some direction with this quesiton. Thanks- David

Baudelaire, Jules Verne, Robert Louis Stevenson, Melville(though he does cite much). Many others influenced by Poe's direction and contributions(all mystery writers like Arthur Conan Doyle) but I am not sure what they have to say personally about direct influence. Kind praise by Yeats and GB Shaw. Condemnation in general by TS Eliot and many critics and members of mainstream letters(Emerson and the Transcendentalists).
