Hi everyone, does anyone out there know what the situation is regarding interest claimed after a sale.

Does the time interest can be claimed initiate at the time of default or can the lender start a new claim of interest after the sale?

I am aware of the 6yr limitation period but there does not appear to be any clarity on interest once a property has been sold.

As far as I know the question of interest accruing after the sale of the property remains open. See my posting under "skipton...can anyone help,mortgage shortfall(interest)" dated May 27 2003.
