... I live in Woodbridge, about 15 minutes from the springfield metro. I charge $200 labor, and I prefer you buy the belt kit from www.dieselgeek.com or www.vwparts.com That includes everything you need to change including the stretch bolts, serpentine belt, timing belt, tensioner, ect.

I called Wayne's VW and inquired about timing belt change. They told me about 7-8 hours of labor at $65 per labor hour. That works out to $520 just for labor.

Sam Hopkins of Imported Automotive Services estimated about $450 to do the timing belt and the water pump.
