I need to know what the significance of the end of the story is. I am stuck and unable to figure it out. Please if you can help me it would be great!

See the opening philosophical statements about the correspondance between material things related to a person's life. At the end the fall of the House is more than a double entendre, the house decay and fall is one with the decay and fall of the family and the decay and fall of the mind of Usher.
