The Bible is held as being God's word. Yet, when we study the origins of the writings, we begin to wonder about the genuiness of the sources. We always conclude with the belief that those writers were inspired by God. But, then the argument begins about which books are inspired and which are not. All this debate and we forget about those books that are still lost or incomplete. The main thing to remember is that the Bible is a recorded history and theology of Jewish religion and Jesus' life and significance. This record is based on previous texts and tradition. We must consider tradition because this is how the Apostles handed down the Gospel. Also, we must understand Paul and his role in the Scriptures. Also, we must understand that the Bible is not complete. It is complete in the sense that nothing is being added and it is accepted in its present form. But, there are documents out there inside jars ready to be discovered. So, is the Bible complete? I can't believe this to be an accurate claim.

How should we understand the major deciphering by theologians of the ancient Scriptures? How should we weigh the so-called ancient "apocrypha" with those accepted Scriptures? How much impact did Gnosticism have in the formation of Christian theology? How much of Christ's purpose has been accurately recorded? How much of Christ's Gospel is really missing?

How sure can anybody truly be about the completeness of the Bible?

We are left with faith. Faith in the documents found. Faith in the theologians who understood those documents and deemed them inspired. Faith in those who wrote the Scriptures. Faith in those who told the stories and maintained the traditions. Those who walked with Christ. Those who spoke with God. (Because) If we do not have Faith in them, how can we have Faith in God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit?

If we do not have Faith in them, how can we have Faith in God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit? Well, I have faith in God and He has provided everything that we need to know Him. He has provided the Holy Spirit, which indwells in men. And, those men have penned the Gospel of Christ.
