If anyone wants to buy Naruto Eps of the net they'll surely find them on ebay even if it's ILLEGAL. We already told you to stop posting this M. Jones.

No more "illegal," Akamaru, than fansubbing the episodes in the first place or downloading them for viewing on your computer, which you and most others on this board do on a regular basis. No U.S. distributor owns the rights to the anime Naruto yet, so no U.S. copyright/distribution laws are being broken. I'm certainly not affecting the Japanese market, since this eBay auction isn't offered outside the continental U.S.

And as far as I know, my postings are allowed in this forum, even if some people may not want to see them. I'm sure, however, that others appreciate the information.

Hoping you won't bring this shit back.

I'm sure the US has a certain a copyright agreement that makes fansubs illegal, whether or not any U.S. companies have it licensed ^^ So none the less it's illegal.

uhhh... let me explain the exact things to u M. Jones what u r doing is ILLEAGAL, don't take it personally but fansubs r by fans for the fans, most fansubs say that it is NOT FOR SALE OR RENT, but in this case naruto don't, BUT that still dun mean that u can sell or rent them out to ppl, btw when u say this is illeagal to own... actually it isn;t aslong as america haven't licensed it then its okay since its been worked thru, so that u can't put a copy right on it. basically who ever sees this... dun even bother buying it cuz u can download off kazaa or soemthing, cuz its way cheaper to do it urself since its free (for the CD dun mind that anyone can afford CDs)

So, if as all of you seem to be saying, fansubs are illegal and all of YOU are downloading and distributing this illegal files, then you're obviously guilty of the same things you're complaining to me about.

That being the case, it seems your real beef isn't that I'm doing something "illegal"... it's merely that I may end up making a buck or two selling something the rest of you simply choose to allow to take up free space on your hard drives.

Sounds like sour grapes, to me.

actually... WE r not distributing illeage files... its actually legal here, what u r doing IS illegal cuz 1. ur taking some elses work and making profit 2. ur using FREE fansubs and making profit (note that these r free) hence taht is illegal as selling drugs to ppl, basically as i explained fansubs r legal AS LONG AS it is not licensed in america (which naruto isn't hence it isn't, about others... it all depends)

Sorry, pal... no matter what you may want to think, fansubs are NOT legal under international distribution agreements. Fansubbers neither own rights to the anime they subtitle/distribute nor have permission from the animes' creators in Japan to do so. So they're basically PIRATING other people's material and distributing it to others to do the same.

And if you're using BitTorrent (which a large number of you ARE), then you ARE distributing this illegal anime, since while downloading it to YOUR computer, you are simultaneously uploading (distributing) it to OTHER people's hard drives who want the same file.

The main reason WHY fansubbers aren't gone after in this country is because until a U.S. distributor buys the rights to a certain anime, in order to show it on American TV or theatres, fansubbing (or selling fansubs) isn't cutting into the profits of anyone.

The Japanese creators tolerate it because American fansubs don't have a markethold in Japan, where the original stuff is readily available on TV for free. And at the same time, no U.S. copyright laws are broken until an American distributor picks it up. If and when that happens, I'll simply stop selling them.

Maybe you should move out of your house of glass before you start chucking stones. The only difference between what the rest of you and I are doing is that I MAY (if I'm lucky, after packaging and postage) make one or two dollars from auctioning these episodes off, while you simply choose not to. Technically, though, in the eyes of the law, it's the same thing.

Ahh ur stupid ass again would u stop posting that shit.

congratulations! you've won the MOST UNPOPULAR & SHAMELESS GUY OF GREENSPUN award. Isn't that great?!!!

I can't believe your attitude of taking the hard work of the fansub groups for granted. it's truly unbelievable...

Ha, ha... Just a quick glance at some of the messages you and others have written on these boards is enough to prove that I'm not even close to being in the running for that top honor. And I truly appreciate all the hard work the fansubbers do. Without them, this sale (and others like it) wouldn't be possible!

I guess I don't have a problem with him actually selling these VCDs on ebay, because some people don't have the luxury of a high speed connection to download through p2p networks, and that he really probably won't make that much a profit on these VCDs, but what gets to me is the attitude that this guy is showing. M. Jones, even though these VCDs might really help somebody out in watching Naruto, the bottomline is that you're trying to make money off of the fansubber's hard work, which nobody here does. We download various anime to enjoy them, not make money. At first, I thought you posting the url of your auction site after every post was amusing, but now its just annoying. Don't get all high and mighty thinking what you're doing isn't totally despicable. Haha, well I guess I can't complain much when some companies are selling WATER at a dollar a bottle, but still, curb your attitude before you piss off the entire forum.

p.s. I was considering to bid on your VCDs to give as a present to my friend who has 56k connection, (I don't have a burner) but your attitude stopped me. Maybe you should take marketing 101 to learn how to advertise better.

-- Anonymous, September 30, 2003

You guys are mean. :(

Considering all of the insulting comments you've been making towards me over the past week, I think my attitude's been downright civil! I don't curse you out or call you names... I don't use your posted e-mail addresses to try to spam or flame you outside this board... yet you treat me like I just ran over your pet beagle and am trying to sell her little mangled corpse back to you for a profit.

Sniff... You're all so cruel... I have FEELINGS, you know! I can't eat... I can't sleep... it's all just so HARD! Sniff... :`(

Hurry up and bid NOW. Only 6 hours left until the auction ends. Help put a smile back on my tear-stained face...

yo, u obviously don;t have feelings if ur making illegal copies. The fansubs are for people who don;t speak japaneese so that they can enjoy it. What ur doing is just wrong! Your selling off other peoples hard work for money. Apart from the fact that people can make their own VCD's for personal use if they want to, so as not to take up their hard drives, ur just trying to make money from what other fansubbers have done, and that's just sick. You shouldn;t be a fan if that;s the way ur gonna treat some free entertainment. just go find somthing else to do.

-- Anonymous, September 30, 2003

Oh, foo! As I stated before, I'm not doing anything the rest of you aren't doing yourselves. I'm just trying to recoup the costs of making the VCDs and sending them out to whomever wins the bid. People who spend their time trading pirated material have little room to criticize those who may sell it.

-- Anonymous, September 30, 2003

lol I think everyone here knows that even if it's pointless to tell us since it doesnt change what you're doing. With arguments you should stop talking ur making a fook of you.

-- Anonymous, September 30, 2003

I'm sorry... could you repeat that in English?

Only 30 MINUTES LEFT TO BID!!!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3350930958&category=41524
