Why does the anime start when he is already grown up but the manga starts when he's only a kid. I know animes sometime a little bit different, but thats too different.

probably because the people who made the anime didn't think it important enough to be put in the anime. they only have a limited time to tell the story, and, if they think it's not a major part of the story, then it will probably be cut. :p rAlF
