TMPGEnc: audio but no video

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Ok i'm really sorry, but it's me again. THis time i used a "TMPGEnc" program to convert "AVI" files to "mpg" files. That worked, however when i click on to it, it plays but there is only sound and no image! What happened? The "AVI" file is a [smr] file not a [tmd] file. Could that be the problem?

that's because you need a video AND audio file to encode it as an mpeg. usually it's a 'dv2' video and 'wav' audio file usually created in 'dvd2avi'
