How do I contact an operator to unban me?

Answers

You don't, you have to wait until another op decides to clean the banlist.

IRC sucks

DC rules!

go to http://www.dcplusplus.com download then install it. click the settings tab (the little blue pen on paper icon) enter a nick name, like i dunno 'Akira' or 'Nayuki' then click the sharing tab and put ur anime folder (dont worry u only have to share a few little files that total 500MB, so just a few episodes of say Ranma or Eva will do) then click OK. next click the little computer icon and in the manual connection address typeone of the following:

anime-conspiracy.no-ip.com -- animeconspiracy.no-ip.com -- a-c.no-ip.com -- anime-conspiracy.mine.nu -- animeconspiracy.mine.nu -- anime-conspiracy.dyndns.org -- ac.dyndns.info -- anime-conspiracy.kicks-ass.net -- animepantyhose.no-ip.com --

If you know the nick of the person who banned you, try doing a /whois on them and seeing if they're in any other channels you're not banned from. Then join and pm them. The other way is to simply use /query nick to open a chat with them and explain the problem. Enter those commands in the main window, btw. If you're friendly with another op in the same channel, you can ask them to unban you as a favour. And whatever you do, remember to be polite and not whine. That way if you're not unbanned, you still maintain your dignity.

pm-ing an op will also get you banned if you don't ask in the channel first, so remember that =)

Yes, always check the rules first and only pm them as a last resort. I.e. in the unlikely even that you really, really, really want to get back into a channel like that.

Charlotte, get a life, seriously, if dcplusplus knew you were doing this, I'm sure they would be grateful, but man, you don't get paid, so drop it. I know you just found out about it and you're all enthusiastic about it, but its not that great. I already have it, its a pretty ok program, but theres some things that it just doesn't have that irc has.

Apparently Charlotte is some dc++ first-timer who knew about this program today. Anyone who have actually used the program would know 500 MB is extremely insufficient to join good hubs.
