IF YOU WANT ANIME...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Animes : One Thread

OK! Since a majority of you are very dumb when it comes to finding anime and say "kazaa!" "Kazaalite!" want to know where all the anime is?? where everyone is?? http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/index.php?page=download ITS CALLED DC++

and no this is not ur average network meant mostly for 12 year old aol idiots seeking latest britney spheres albulm! DC++ meant for sharing of large files, like warez, anime, iso etc. its not like kazaa where like there is only 2 results per episode and the users are like 56k or whatever. DC++ has over 100 results per episode and most users are on fast cable/dsl or faster. THATS RIGHT! DC++ is very unkind to 56kers.. :) making it alot easier for us.

So If anyone ever says Kazaa...YOU ARE A TOTAL MORON.

Thank you very much for your helpful post about DC. However, you are an asshole and most people will ignore you wisdom as a result of it.

Even though that I can use bittorrent, irc, Emule, etc, I still remember that I`ve downloaded the whole Kenshin and HxH series over Kazaa...

burning_arc acts like they're 12 themselves. Putting "THATS RIGHT!" in caps as though they're trying to sell something.

KaZaA Lite is a good program to use to find stuff too. Try making a P2P service like that yourself, you'd never be able to.

is DC++ like emule or edonkey ? charlene, the links that u gave us are not working at all.

-- Anonymous, September 26, 2003

hm..most of them require filesharing of 10 gb each of my partitioned hd has only 7 gb

you people are very mean to noobs. why are u all like that?

-- Anonymous, September 26, 2003

Don't try DC++ if you don't want to share or don't have enough to share. From my experience I can tell the percentage of hubs you can join based on the size of your shared folder.
<10 GB = Don't even try
20 GB = 35%
50 GB = 60%
80 GB = 90%

If you really want good hubs you need at least 70-100 GB, the hubs with low sharing requirements often have people who joined other hubs, therefore having more people accessing their server and occupying send slots.

The more I hear of DC++, the less I like the sound of it. I don't mind sharing my stuff, but should I have to find 70GB of programs and anime to share when I'm only looking for one small 160MB episode?

...lol...this just made me laugh for some reason...

DC++...sharing files...I don't like it...I can't share anything because it slows down my brother's and my comps down because we share the same internet connection.

But anyways...yeah...you'll probably get more flames for this than comments because you just called the +95% of the ppl who post here stupid.

And one more note...before using this line 'So If anyone ever says Kazaa...YOU ARE A TOTAL MORON.' again...try making your own program better than it. If you can't, you have no right to say anything bad bout it

...I'm bored...

no its not my program at all. and no, all you need to share is like 5gb usualy for anime hubs. you see those links posted above? Those are Anime Hubs. you use DC++ to connect into those or the list (always updates) included..

and well no, its not really like edonkey, e-donkey is diffrent..its hard to get stuff on e-donkey without knowing the right server and junk.

and yes, i know i would get flamed but really, If anyone is using kazaa over dc++.. you really are a moron lol. kazaa meant for mp3's. dc++ meant for files

DC++ is one of the greatest places to download anime along with IRC and Bittorrent. DC++ works good because you are required to share. Peer to peer programs only work if everyone shares their stuff. That is why Bittorent is such a good program as well. Also you don't have to have tons and tons of gigs to get into good hubs. My hard drive is only 18.5 gigs after partition and I have no problems. Also, for all the current DC++ users that are anime fans here is a URL for an anime public hub list. Http://home01.planet.nl/~draad003/AF1/PublicHubList.config This goes in the filesettings/downloads/public hub list URL spot.

I agree totally with burning_arc. I think people who make suggestions to use kazaa or kazaa lite whatever must have been living in the boonies most of their lives and its only common sense to call them stupid idiots. Please don't make suggestions to use kazaa because chances are the dumbest internet users who are having trouble going through the idiot guide would know about kazaa. You people would simply be wasting other people's time.
