Dear Sir

In laymen terms what is mean by P,I and D and what is their funtions ?May I know the proper steps of tuning a PID controller ? How much should I set the value for the P ,I and the D ?

actually we tune pid controllers for a proper steady state response of a given system and pid parameters depend upon the order of the system we take.if got any queries mail me.
