Condolonces with Dr. Hendrik Witbooi

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

It is with a heart that is saddened that I have to inform the BB readers of the home-going of Mrs Witbooi. She was the wife of Dr Hendrik Witbooi, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Namibia in the Fifteenth Episcopal District, and an advisor to Bishop Gregory GM Ingram and a Presiding Elder.

Dr Witbooi and his wife has made indelible imprints in the life, history and development of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in Namibia as well as in South Africa. They have traveled long and tedious hours to be 'obedient' to their calling. I have had the privilege to know Mrs Witbooi and can rightly say, she was a special, warm, loving, caring, committed woman of God.

On behalf of the Congregation of Vinton Anderson AME Church, Eerste River, my family and a host of friends, we want to express our deapest sympathy with the family and we will keep on praying for you. May her soul rest in Peace.

As soon as the funeral arrangement will be made known, I will post it on the board.

God Bless You All.

Rev. Legolie, we too grieve the death of this remarkable woman. Rev. Biwa shared the news with us. And there is a picture in this week's AME Herald www.ameherald.com
