Today I called Sam Hopkins about the price on the Jetta timing belt change. He was not prepared to give me a price at this time. I told him to get back to me as soon as possible with a price.

I got the Jetta back last night from Imported Automotive Services. I had the timing belt changed and replaced with the 80,000 belt. ~ Timing Belt (new 80K belt) 038 109 119M (O.E.M. - Original Equipment Manufacturer)

~ Timing Belt Tensioner (new 80K belt tensioner) 038 109 243N (O.E.M.)

~ Cam Seal 068 103 085E OR 026 103 085D (Included in case your seal is leaking. It's not a bad idea to replace it since the 80K belt service interval is quite a long time.) Kaco-German 47mm x 10mm

~ NEW! Vacuum pump seal (O.E.M.) It will seep unless replaced.

~ Serpentine Belt 6PK-1660 Continental-German I also had the water pump replaced with a $66.00 German Laso water pump kit. I ordered all the parts from dieselgeek.com. The price for the belt kit and the water pump totaled $260 delivered. The labor was about $450 for the total job. Sam Hopkins also had to replace a roller which accompanied the new 80,000 mile belt. This cost $83 from the local Mercedes dealer.
