Reverend Gabriel Samuel Hardeman, Sr. - Some Good News

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

On Saturday, September 6, 2003 the Atlanta Journal-Constitution ran a full-two page color article on the Reverend Gabriel Samuel Hardeman, Sr. entitled, "Ironman in the Pulpit". Reverend Hardeman celebrated his 90th birthday on September8, and has been active in the Christian ministry for 75 years.

I am proud to say he has been a friend of my family for many of those years and has served as a recent pastor and Presiding of my own Presiding Elder District. He also served throughout the State of Georgia and in Philadelphia as well.

Below is a link to the wonderful article published on him. I am not sure how long this link will be actively available to read online. So let me suggest that you find this article at your local libraries and news stands. This will also afford you the pictures, which the link does not contain. It is indeed refreshing to read some good news about an AME minister who is true and devoted servant of God.

May God continue to bless him and his family.

Rev.Hardeman A.K.A "PA-PA" to many in the Sixth Episcopal Distrist. I had the pleasure to get tp know Rev. Hardeman on a personal level. I apperciate the coversations that he and I had about many things from church issues to health issues. He helped me a lot whe I was in kidney failure, then I had the kidney transplant. I could call him up, talk and be blessed when the conversation was finished. Rev. Hardeman, Sis. Hardeman are truly wonderful people to know. Be blessed Rev. & Mrs. Hardeman. We love you here in Georgia.
