Ok I watched End of Evangelion but I didn't watch Death and Rebirth. Did I miss out on something important? Someone told me that Death and Rebirth was just a summary of the entire series. Is that true?

it has some extra scenes aswell, and improved animation - and it isnt in order of the series, just u see a fair bit of whats happened.
