Serious Vcd Burning Problem

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have Experienced a serious Vcd problem .dat when burning it using nero from Hard Disk. When i put my Vcd file in vcd compilation, nero during analyzing gives me an error that cd is not in standard vcd format.I click on option "Re-encode".It re-encoded succesfully. But just before burning it gives me another message that there is a possible read error ...................... I continued and the cd was burned succesfully.Afterall, when i played vcd on computer as well as "Samsung" cd player the movie was only 20 minutes long on cd instead of 58 minutes. Is there any possible solution to write it correctly and fully on Cdr.I feels shame to say that i have wasted 4 cd'rs in this matter. I shall be happy if someone responses to my problem.

Don't re-encode. Nero will give you an option to burn it anyway as a non-compliant VCD. Try that and see if it's OK. There is a possibility that there is a bad area in the video that is causing your problem. If so, you will have to see if you can find the bad area and edit it out. I suspect that you probably downloaded this file. If that's true, you might consider trying to download it from another source. Anytime you download a file there are no guarantees that the person who made the original file made it correctly.

Tey re-encoding it with TMPNGE, and then use Nero to create disc. Works well for me !!
