What role does rei ayanami play in this anime? I don't really understand some things because I only watch an episode a month. I have cable, but for some reason, kazaa sucks ass and won't allow me to download faster than .30 kb sometimes. Please fill me in on some information

rei is the soul of lilith combined with the body of yui (shinji's mum) and is the pilot of eva 00. also, the 3rd impact that happens in end of evangelion starts because she returns to the body of lilith held in terminal dogma. also, she has more than one body - because below nerv is a place where they create replicas of her so her soul isnt lost when she dies - and there ends up being 3 rei's in total.

What is up with the last episode anyway? It ends so gay. The story isn't even closed yet. Anime series never do that. O well, guess I gotta watch the movies
