I intend to weld two parts one made from Colsibro and one from Inconel 625 using an electron-beam weld. Does anyone know if these metals will weld and if so are there any special considerations such as surface preparations I need to know about. Any advice would be great.

Well, this is a resistance welding forum, so you may not get much of an answer here. You cannot Resistance Weld Colsibro, since it is impregnated with silicon. You might ask the guys at Beam Weld in Houston. www.beamweld.com
