I kept getting timed out every time I tried to get on. Today (Sat. a.m.) it was easy.

Of course, NOW I don't have time to post much! Where has the summer gone???? Glad I don't have to put kids back in school. At least I can keep the summer head space going a bit longer.

...still hot and very dry out here....

But I haven't finished all the stuff I planned to do this summer!!! And it's getting dark earlier and earlier. And cooler and cooler. I'm not ready!!

I'm actually going crazy this weekend. The two friends that took care of my animals while I was away have both gone away at the same time. The one for the week, the other just for the weekend. I get up, go to one house and let out their dog (it usually messes in the house anyway), go to the other house and feed and let out their dog. Then I put the first dog away and feed her birds (one African Grey, two cockatiels and a canary) I then go home and feed my animals and myself. After which, I return to the second house and take care of her birds (two African Greys, Amazon, Lori, four cages of parakeets and finches with 10-20 birds in each cage. Let me tell you, my allergies are really acting up there)and return to the first house to let that dog out again. Later, I feed that dog and let it out again. Later still, I bring in the second dog and close up the birds. Then let out the other dog and cover her birds. Finally, I let the first dog out a final time or he will definitely not make it through the night. AND I don't get up early for any dog. Pay back for what they went through with the dog killing my goat?
