locking of shank in arm

dear,i use a spot welding gun and when i want to repair it and change the shank from copper arm the shank locks and it is very difficult to move it out,please guide me for tolerances of shank and arm and if using any grease is suitable or not thanks

Hello, Use an copper based lubricant. Look up the website for "jet lube" product: SS-30". It will do the job for any to copper to copper connection. wolf
