occurrence of twist defect during spot welding

while spot welding two CRCA sheets of 1.2mm thickness each out of which the upper sheet is pierced and bent while the lower is only pierced, a defect that occurs is that of twist. Twist means that after welding, two opposite corners of the bottom sheet touch the base plate while the other two corners don't. so what could be the reason for this and what should be the solution?
