Gundam meets CardCaptors?! wha? cardcaptors? *puke* i ahve that name... anyway, i have no idea why it would be like cardcaptors O_O if you would like to know what the story is about why not do a search on 'escaflowne plot' or 'ecsaflowne review' ...

Escaflowne picks up on the 'girl travel to another world' as a focus. Think of your stereotypical 15 year old school girl with uniforms getting dragged by a prince into another world. She has a pendant that can predict the future, while the prince pilots a Guymelef(mecha) called escaflowne, which can transform into a dragon. The story goes about an evil empire destroying the prince's homeland, the girl and Van(the prince) have to find allies to fight.

The pendant dont predict the future, it just have special powers that the girl can use, and she does not predict the future she.. no, thats a spoiler :P

It is about this girl with a deck of cards but she doesn't realize that those cards are real and she has a necklace and when she runs really fast ans one of them are fight oe something like that she transport into their time and place and she starts to slowly fall inlove with a boy there and that is basically it.
