I like yue watase's the best mainly Fushigi Yuugi. But other then that the guy who draws Oh, my goddess would rank right next to it.

CLamp!! + the people who made ah my goddess + the people who made love hina!

Well, I guess Rumiko Takahashi;s (Ranma1/2, InuYasha, One Pound Gospel, etc.etc.) my favorite but I really like Ken Akamatsu (Love Hina)... I WOULD like Yuu Watase's work but her profiles stink. Same with the dude/dudette who did Marmalade Boy.

CLAMP, yuu watase, and ken akamatsu!!!! and rumiko takahashi, of course!

hellloooo....guys the qestion is who draws the best and not which manga do you like best. i mean for example ranma 1/2 and inu yasha are gerat stories but the drawing is rubbish. i think yukiru sugisaki, the manga ka who made shaman king and weiß kreuz and of course clamp are really good!!

That's not quite right, Jody. You personally might think that Ranma 1/2 and Inu Yasha's art is rubbish, but the fact is, a lot of people like that style of drawing. Personally, I prefer Clamp, Yuu Watase, Kaiori Yuki, and Nobuyuki Anzai.

Can one really compare? So many stiles, so many artists. Me, any drawing good enough to make me laugh, cry or think is good enough.

im not sure if tokyo pop is from clamp but id say tokyo pop

-- Anonymous, August 25, 2003

Um, Tokyo Pop is a company......... I love the art of Yuki Kaori, Hiroaki Samura, Clamp, Higuri You, and Rumiko Takahashi especially in the Mermaid saga, It looks very simple but I think she's just a genius who making it look simple, I've never seen a picture of hers that looked off and she's fantastic with expressions.

Hum, let see. For Yue Watase, I'd have to say her hands sucked, though they're getting better by far. Her recent manga are better than her old ones. Clamp, I have to ask which style, after all, they switched styles about five times if not more, and which members, they did start with more than ten people and as doujinshi manga artists, as for my opinion of best art work, I have to say Kaori Yuki for one, her later works, as Angel Sanctuary isn't really that good, unless you count the finished artworks in an art book, than those are beautiful, but the manga itself needed work, I think she was still trying to find out how to make body movements look natural. Hum, Matsushita Yoko's Yami no Matsuei have some very pretty artworks... the manga's so well done(unlike the anime). Kouyu Shurei's Alichino, beautiful art, breath-taking!! Ah, I worship at her feet. Her style is very very distint. Kishimoto- sensei's movements are the best out of most mangas I've read. There are so many more, but I can't think of them right now.... Hum, Clamp's X/1999 books 8 and above are pretty, ah~ Brain damage... can't compare anymore.. Oh well... Sorry all those beautiful artists I didn' include.
