greenspun.com : LUSENET : MILDOT : One Thread

if im not mistakin theres fewer left handed rifles than there it right handed rifles. i can understand theres more right handed people, but two days ago i was going to go buy a new rifle and i went up to the place and i asked for it in a left handed bolt and they said that kind didnt come in a left handed bolt so i was wondering if i could get that rifle special order in a left handed bolt.

thanks,Josh

i have been looking for a lite sporter rifle in left hand with stainless barrel and walnut stock in .223 rem but nobody makes them.

I really like the sako's and remington's.

Tikka made them but have stopped now.

You may want to try Savage, I bought a model 112FVSS in a left handed and am VERY happy with it. I think they are a WAY under rated weapon. The one I bought has a button rifled,26 in., heavy SS fluted barrel, dual pillar bedded...in a 300 Win Mag. Just make sure if you go for a magnum you get a 26 in. barrel NOT a 24. Savage was making some of theirs in 2003 with a 24 in. but I think they have realized their mistake and corrected it since. I found a 2002 model 26 in. from a place out of Ohio...(Savage gave me their name) sorry, I forgot it) ..told me they sold the last lefties to them (of that model I wanted)...I DID NOT want that new Accutrigger on the 2003 models...but if you have to get that one you can get a replacment for about 80 bucks if you don't like it. Hope this gets to you in time...For $380.00 (what I paid) I don't think it can be beat ! Its a tack driver ! Just make sure you buy a GOOD scope..don't scrimp there...I got the Burris Fullfield 2 Illuminated Balistic plex.....for 375..can't get much better for the buck... Try a different make or model. Most manufacturers have a very limited selection of left-hand models, if they offer any at all.
