Mazen Dana, a Reuters journalist and an international press freedom award winner, was killed by US forces while filming. Even though I do not personally know the man, he was well known across the world for his achievements. He had 4 young childern. Normally no one would bother praying for someone who died outside of their own race/country, but let us be true catholics and pray for this man's soul and for his wife and children.

Great thought Abraham, such a tragedy, he had authorization to film where he was filming,apparently the camera he was carrying was "mistaken for a rocket launcher". May God Bless his soul and comfort his family.

Thx. you Abraham for this post. I believe that we should always ask the Lord whom & what to intercede for, then and only then can we be truly selfless in our prayers.

On the 14th July (my bday!) the Lord spoke to me about praying & offering Holy Mass for Cambodia - a country I knew nothing about. I did it anyway, only to find out later that a Catholic Church had been attacked (on the 13th) during the Holy Mass.

Since God has obviously put it on your heart to pray for Mazen Dana, do so with everything you have. And also ask the Lord to continue to give you more prayer burdens - you seem to already have a true intercessor's heart! Amen
