Trying to Find Copyright date of a version of The GoldBug book I have.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Work of Edgar Allan Poe : One Thread

Into my posession has come a version of The GoldBug bye E.A.P. There is no copyright date. The Publisher is Thomas Y. Crowell & Co.(New York). After doing a little bit of searching I thought it was part of the Little Leather Library of about 1922. But all I could find were supposed versions which were 3" X 4" in size. My version is 7" tall by 5" wide. There is also a illustration of POE in the front pages. I would really like to get a date to go with this book. Thanks, *Jason McK.*

Crowell was mostly a reprint house. They began producing copies of Poe works, usually the poems, about 1890. Their only important publication was the 17-volume edition of Poe's works edited by James A. Harrison in 1902.
